Funeral Services held Tuesday for Herman H. Renken
Funeral services for Herman H. Renken who died Saturday July 12 were held Tuesday afternoon July 15 at the home and at the Saint Paul's American Luthern Chruch, With Rev. E. F. Meier conducting.
Ronald Onnen sang " The Way of the Cross Leads Home". " Inb The Garden" and " God Will Take care of You". Pallbearers wer John Oberhelman, Henry lenz, Eilert Memken, Walter Collmann, Dick Gerjets and George Snow.
Floral Arrangements werer under the directions of Mrs. Lou Obernelman, Mrs. Bill Bartels, Mrs. dave Breitenbach, Mrs. jake Wiese and Mrs. W. E.
F. meier. Interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.Herman Henry Renken was born at Benson, Illinios Nov. 24 1887. He was married to Clara kolb in Oct. 1907 at Benson, Illinios. six children were
born to this union. Tow son precede thier father in death.In 1917 the family moved to Iowa since that time has lived in the manson Vicinity. He has been a faithful Member of the Luthern Church.
Mr. Renken was a effe cient and successful farmer, enjoyed farming life and won the esteeem of his many friends. For many years he suffered from Poor heath and very ill in the lutheran hiospital from march 13 to April 13 of this year. He was taken back to teh hospital Wednesday July 9 anbd died there on the 12th at the age of 59 years.
Mr. Renken leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, 4 children, Barbara, Mrs. james Green, manson, Alvira, Mrs John janicke of le Mars, Irene and Virgil at home. 6 Brothers, George, Walter, William all of Dana, Illinios:
Ben renken of manson, Fred renken of Rockwell city, Ted Renken of Fort Dodge. 7 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
