Funeral services for Mack Tevepaugh, 76, Lake City, were June 28 at Huffman Memorial Chapel, Rev. C. O. Stuckenbruck officiating.
Pallbearers were Wm. Goins, George Dewey, Wm. Gordon, Wilbur Chase, Jake Janssen and Glenn Lasher. Burial was in Cottonwood cemetery.
Mack Neal Tevepaugh, son of James and Margaret Sophona Tevepaugh, was born May 1, 1887 at Taylorsville, N.C. He grew up in Taylorsville and received his education there. Then for six years he lived at Hillsboro, Ill., but came to the Lake City area in 1913.
On Jan. 31, 1917 he was married to Martha Wilkie of Lake City. They farmed in the area until 15 years ago when they moved to Lake City.
He died June 23 at Anderson Nursing Home, Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters and a brother, Charles.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, James of Anita; Robert of Storm Lake; and Harold of Lake City; a foster daughter, Jean Faye, Omaha; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers and a sister, all in North Carolina.
