Maxwell W. Frick
(Oct 27, 1859 – Jan 16, 1917)

Maxwell W. Frick was born on a farm in Boone Township, Dallas County, Iowa, on October 27, 1859, educated at the district school, Adel High School and Iowa Business College, Des Moines. He read law while he was teaching school in Dallas County, and in the law school in Des Moines [Drake University], conducted by the late Judge W. E. Miller, which was in the fall of 1880 and early winter of 1881, and finished in the office of M. H. Baugh, Adel, Iowa; was admitted February 3, 1881. He began to practice at Adel, with M. H. Baugh. After a few months Mr. Frick withdrew from the firm and September 21, 1881, he settled in Rockwell City, Iowa, where he has been engaged in the law business for twenty-six years.
