PARKERSBURG-Services for Mrs. Abbie Adelmund, 51, who died Saturday morning at the Waverly hospital, after a lingering illness, will be 2pm Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church; burial in Oak Hill cemetery; survived by her husband; 2 sons: Ronald and Tom Morgan, of Burlington: a daughter, Mrs. Joan Crippen, of Oakland, Calif: 5 sisters: Mrs. Ethel Wheeler, of Media, Pa., Mrs. Mildred Haines, of Fairfield. Mrs. Velma Ballard, of Quincy, Ill. Mrs. Bernadee Eertmode, of Basdoff, Ill. and Mrs. Estaline Fader of Keokuk; 7 brothers: Alpha and Adrian Parris, of Gorin, Mo., Arthur of Keokuk. George and LeRoy, both of Denver, Colo., Paul of Salem, Ore., and Basil of Lanton, Mo.; 2 step-sons, Marvin and LeRoy, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Church. all of Parkersburg; Engelkes Funeral Home in charge.

(Note: Obituary sent to me without date or newspaper name so I did a little research. Lela Parris was born Feb. 18, 1916, married for the first time in 1932, at the age of 17 to Ernest Morgan in Scotland County, MO (her father gave consent). Some time after 1940 Lela married Abbie Adelmund. She died Aug. 5, 1967 and is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.
