AREDALE - JOHN FARNSWORTH , a highly respected farmer of this community , began acting strangely yesterday and neighbors went to investigate.

FARNSWORTH met the kind intentions with a shotgun and fired through the door after bolting it. Officers were sent for and when they arrived found FARNSWORTH hanging at the end of a rope tied to a rafter in his attic.

FARNSWORTH had shown no signs of insanity prior to a few hours before the deed was committed.
