Carmelida Alex, age 58, of Lakeside, Iowa, died on Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

A daughter of Alexander Alex and Candalaria Dohres, Carmelida was born on April 8, 1960, on Pohnpei Island in Micronesia. A life-long Catholic, she received her education in Micronesia. Married to Adrian Ladore, she was blessed with three children: Albert Alek, Justina Alex, and Patrick Ladore. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, housekeeping, cleaning, and spending time with family. Undoubtedly, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, two brothers, five sisters, and twelve grandchildren. Carmelida was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place during the hour before the service at the church. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
