Frank Allen Trimble, age 93, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society in Newell, Iowa.

Frank, a son of Alva and Ella (Bustrin) Trimble, was born on September 10, 1924, in Carthage, Missouri. Baptized as an infant and later confirmed, he attended grade school in Missouri. When he was eleven years old, his family moved to Iowa, and he attended school in Lohrville. In l941, he graduated from Lohrville High School. On December 30, 1948, he married Jeanette Rohlk at the Little Brown Church. Subsequently, they were blessed with two sons, Roger and Ray. A member of the Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake, Frank served as an elder.

A devoted farmer, Frank enjoyed working the land and growing crops. In his spare time, he served as a 4-H leader. He, also, enjoyed fishing in Minnesota and Canada and doing woodworking in his shop. He valued his family, and he treasured the time he was able to spend with them. He will be, deeply, missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons: Roger (Shell) Trimble, of Alta, Iowa; and Ray (Joni) Trimble, of Rembrandt, Iowa; his grandchildren: Lee (Lacey), Lance (Carrie), and Byron (Keisha); his great grandchildren: Kiera Aberson; Garrett, Owen, Sage, Sawyer, and Skyla Anderson; and Harris Trimble; and his brother and sister-in-law, Carol and Linda Fries; as well as extended family members and friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette A. Trimble; his parents, Alva and Ella Trimble; his parents-in-law, John and Lillie Rohlk; his brothers, George (Kay) Trimble and Max Fries.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Visitation will take place Tuesday, May 1, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
