Randy Stille, age 54, of Florida and formerly of Alta, Iowa, died on Sunday, February 4, 2018, in Florida.

Randall Howard Stille was born on October 22, 1963, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Howard and Mary Stille. He attended Alta High School in Alta, Iowa, where he participated in several activities. He enjoyed basketball, baseball, football, track, golf, band, and 4-H. He exceled in these activities and earned awards in each, including Homecoming King and Grand Champion Beef at the Buena Vista County Fair for 5 years in a row. Outside of these, he enjoyed building models and RC airplanes as well as flying them.

Randy graduated from Alta High School in 1982 and went on to attend Iowa State University in Ames where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1986. He worked in the tech industry for several years and earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1994. In addition, he worked in the healthcare industry and owned a company which focused on billing for physicians.

Randy loved being busy, both in his younger years and in his later years. He remained an avid golfer and sports fan throughout his life and would often discuss the latest game or sports news with those around him. He attended class reunions whenever he could and very much enjoyed catching up on his high school and college friends.

Blessed with two beautiful children, Jolene and Sara, he cherished the moments he shared with each. Moreover, as a very proud father, he loved attending their soccer games and other activities.

On August 9, 2015, Randy married Darlene Fisher. The two, later, they experienced a very memorable honeymoon in Italy. Randy and Darlene spent the remainder of their time together enjoying life with friends, family, and each other.

Randy saw many of the important people in his life in the weeks before he left us. Family and friends visited and sent messages as well as cards and letters which were read to him. He passed away peacefully on February 4, 2018, in the presence of his devoted and loving wife.

Randy is survived by his mother, Mary R. Stille, of Storm Lake, Iowa; his wife, Darlene Stille, of Oldsmar, Florida; his children, Jolene and Sara Stille, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and his sisters, Karyn (Dan) Waites, of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Sharyn (Rob) Kitto, of Richmond, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Howard E. Stille.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Alta United Methodist Church in Alta, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The service will take place at 11:00 a.m. with a meal to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
