Susan Jo Kizer, age 61, of Richmond, Kentucky, formerly of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Richmond.

Susan Kizer was born on December 2, 1955, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Douglas T. Kane and Anita Witte Kane. In 2013, she retired from the Beauty Industry. She enjoyed decorating, golfing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Susan leaves behind her husband, Mrylon Kizer; a daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Brian Hansen, of Alta, Iowa; a son, Preston Bettin, of Leon, Iowa; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jessica Bettin, of Holstein, Iowa; two grandsons, Jailen and Maddox Hansen, both of Alta, Iowa; a granddaughter, Camille Jo Bettin, of Holstein, Iowa; and two step granddaughters, Alexis and Hailey Kizer, of Colorado; a sister, Kris Wollesen, and her husband, Bill, of Lake View, Iowa; three brothers: Marty Kane, and his wife, Lisa, of Lexington, Kentucky, Mick Kane, and his wife, Terri, of Chicago, Illinois, and Terry James Kane.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Visitation will take place Tuesday, October 24, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Memorials may be designated to the First Christian Church, 412 W. Main Street, Richmond, Kentucky 40475. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
