Theodore G. Brown, 68, of Lamont, Iowa died Sunday, January 15, 2023, at his home.

Theodore Gene Brown was born October 12, 1954, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Raymond Edward & Rosalind B. (Bigelow) Brown. Ted was raised in Lamont and graduated from Starmont High School in the class of 1972. Following high school, he moved to Nebraska where he drove semi-truck for a short time. He returned to Lamont and drove semi-truck for a number of employers and as well as for himself. Ted was currently driving for Baja Trucking out of Cedar Falls. Ted was united in marriage to Debra Marie Hutchinson on April 12, 1986 at Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont, Iowa. They were blessed with three sons: Benjamin, Anthony and Joshua.

Ted was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. In his youth, Ted enjoyed participating in horse shows. Ted also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. His hobbies included muscle cars, playing pool, playing euchre, but, his biggest hobby was driving semi. He gave more than he ever had and expected nothing in return.

Ted is survived by his wife: Deb Brown of Lamont; 3 sons: Benjamin (Katie) Brown of Arlington, Anthony Brown of Lamont and Joshua Brown of Lamont; 4 grandchildren: Damien, Abbigail, Alexus and Dominik; 6 Siblings: Diana Cooper of Manchester, Ronald Brown of Nebraska, Jacqueline Sadler of Mechanicsville, Randall Brown of Lamont, Bruce (Diane) Brown of Manchester and Audrey Rubner of Oelwein; and many Nieces, Nephews and other relatives.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; son: Travis Hutchinson and a sister: Shirley Rawson.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont with Rev. Lisa Schroeder officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday and for one hour before the service on Saturday at the church.

Interment: Campton Cemetery, Lamont, Iowa.
