Jeanne Fisher, 80 of Jesup, Iowa died Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

Jeanne was born on July 1, 1942, in Detroit, MI., She graduated with the class of 1960 from St. Anthony’s High School in Detroit, MI. She married Eugene R. Fisher, on September 6, 1975, at the Gross Pointe War Memorial in Michigan. The couple made their home in Michigan for several years prior to moving to Jesup, Iowa in the early 1980’s. Jeannie was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s and enjoyed singing, and was very artistic and enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, working on stained glass, and was an avid reader,

She is survived by two children: Vince (Becky) Bauer-Fisher, Waverly, IA., and Jacqui (Wayne) Coulter, Modesto, CA. Six grandchildren; Amanda (Brent) Engelkes, Chelsea Bauer-Fisher, David Wilhelm, Christine (Jeremy) Davis, Sabrina Coulter, and Matt (Caitlin) Coulter, three great grandchildren; Emilie, Max, and Harrison, and a sister; Linda Dauzy, White Lake, MI.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband; Eugene on March 20, 2022, her father; Jean Baptiste Lagimodiere and mother; Helen (Kubiak) Lagimodiere , a sister; Carol Ann Wolfe, and a brother; Tom Denton.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the Independence Community Bible Church, with Pastor Mike Nemmers officiating. Friends may call from 1 PM to services Wednesday at the church. The Reiff Family Center in Independence is assisting the family with arrangements.
