Ret. Msgt Dennis R. Benorden, 78, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2021.

He was born on June 29, 1943 in Independence, Iowa. He was the son of Paul and Beverly “Pat” Benorden.
He is survived by his son, Jon Paul Benorden, of Sacramento, California; his sisters, Jackie and Neil Hattlestead of Conway, Arkansas, and Judy and Denny Adams of Bellevue, Nebraska, Robert “Bob” Benorden of Houston, Texas, and his stepchildren, Phillis, Lizabeth and Samuel Benson.

He is preceded by his wife, Janice M. (Gabriel) Benorden, and his son, Don Philip Benorden.

Denny served in the USAF from 1962 to 1986. Denny loved to travel in his RV with his beloved dogs, Lucky and Melissa. He was a graduate of Jesup High School and attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. After college, he joined the US Air Force and traveled throughout the world. He loved his time in Alaska the most, doing two tours there. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and the great outdoors.

Burial will be at Omaha National Cemetery at a later date.
