She was born to Eugene and Hazel “Pat” (Whitehead) Loomis on March 21, 1967 in Waterloo, Iowa. She attended Denver Community Schools and graduated in 1986. She completed her basic training at Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio.
She met Keith Ballard at Grissom Air Force Base while serving as one of the first women in her specialty of Base Security Forces. The two married and had one child, Brandi Marie. They later divorced and Jackie moved back to Iowa. She met C.J. Lensing while she lived in Hazleton and the two married on September 28, 1996 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. She was a loving grandmother to Kinsee, Ryker, and Quincy. She loved spending time with them, taking them camping, and doing fun activities with them. They will miss her greatly.
Jackie never missed an opportunity to tell her three children how proud of them she was. She always referred to them as the three greatest things she ever did.
