EvLynn Joyce Hare, 79, of Independence, IA, died on Monday November 16, 2020 at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence.

EvLynn was born on September 23, 1941 in Waterloo, IA the daughter of Ivan K. and Dorothy (Turner) Hare. She attended the Evansdale Community School. On November 23, 1960 she married Carl Junior Wilson in Waterloo, IA, and they made their home in Littleton, IA. Together they had four daughters: Debra, Kathy, Sandy and Tina. EvLynn would often walk her children to the school bus in the mornings with fishing pole in hand, and while her girls were at school, she would spend the day fishing on the Wapsipinicon River. EvLynn also loved to crochet and talk for hours with her longtime friend Marcia Main. She and Carl later divorced. In 1975, the family moved to Independence, IA, where she started working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at West Village Care Center. She spent thirty years caring for countless patients until she retired in 2005. She valued taking care of others and participated in the Iowa Donor Network program, after her passing.

EvLynn is survived by her four daughters, Debra (Curt) Serfling, Randalia, IA, Kathy (Jo) Lopez, Oelwein, IA, Sandy (Randy) Zaug, Hazelton, IA, Tina (Mike) Andersen, Coggon, IA, fourteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, a brother Ivan K. Hare Jr., of Florida, a sister-in-law, Lylia Hare, Waterloo, IA., and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Dorothy Hare, two children in infancy, Carol and Karen Wilson, and a grandson Anthony Gonzalez .

A memorial Service will be held at a later date. The Reiff Family Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
