William D. Boies, a brother of ex-Governor Horace Boies, and one of the early settlers of Delaware county, died at Independence on the 1st inst. He was born near Buffalo, N. Y., in 1819. Together with his sons he was a large land owner.

Transcriber’s Note: Find-a-Grave shows he is buried in Quasqueton Cemetery and was born August 24, 1819 and died September 1, 1905.
