Grace D. Becker, 77, of Hazleton,Iowa died suddenly on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Keokuk Area Hospital at Keokuk, Iowa.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein, Iowa; Officiating: Rev. Leo Combs-Lay; Visitation: from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home and after 9:30 A.M. on Saturday at the church; Interment: Hazleton Cemetery at Hazleton, Iowa.

A Memorial Fund has been established in her name.

Grace Dena VanLengen was born on October 2, 1935 at New Hartford, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Verbena (Perton) VanLengen. She attended Cedar Falls High School at Cedar Falls, Iowa. Grace married Richard Martin Becker on June 28, 1964 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She and Richard owned and operated the North Star Resort in Edgewater, Wisconsin for many years and currently operating the Bargain House in Oelwein. Grace enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing and flea markets.

Grace is survived by: Husband—Richard M. Becker of Hazleton, Iowa; Daughter—Joanetta(Larry)Myers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Son—Thomas(LuAnn)Ray of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and 3 Grandchildren—Matthew Myers,Rachel Ray and Angela White.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son (John David Becker in 1973);granddaughter (Kimberly Sue Myers) and a brother (John A. VanLengen).
