Patricia Ann Alber, 90 years old, of Independence, Iowa died on Friday, March 2, 2018, at ABCM Rehab. of Independence – East Campus. She was born on May 19, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Earl and Bertha (Geldreich) McHenry. She graduated from high school in Columbus and after that, she attended business college. She enjoyed volunteering at the Independence Public Library and the Wapsipinicon Mill.

Mrs. Alber is survived by 2 sons and 1 sister, Helen Minco of southern California.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence with Pastor Greg DeBoer officiating.

White Funeral Home of Independence is in charge of arrangements.
