Ronald D. Kress, 53, of Quasqueton, Iowa died Thursday morning March 14, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Ron was born on March 17, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Darwin L. and Florence E. (Seys) Kress. He was a 1977 graduate of the East Buchanan High School in Winthrop, IA. On May 28, 1977 he was united in marriage to Robin A. Hogan in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Winthrop, IA. The couple made their home in Quasqueton, IA. He was employed in construction companies throughout the Cedar Rapids area.

Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Robin, Quasqueton, IA, two sons; Jeff (Sarah) Kress, Cedar Rapids, IA., Jason (Vicki) Kress, Winthrop, IA, seven grandchildren, and a sister; Pam (Kevin) Peterson, Independence, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Winthrop, IA with Rev. Don Plamondon officiating.

Burial will be in the Quasqueton Cemetery, Quasqueton, IA. Friends may call from 2 to 8 P.M. Sunday, and from 9 to 10 AM Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home, Quasqueton, IA.
