Brent R. Wiest, 35, of Eyota, MN, formally of Brandon, IA died September 20, 2009 at his home.

Brent was born August 28, 1974 in Independence, Iowa the son of Elliot Wiest and Kaye (Lange) Bumgarner. He attended the LaPorte School. He worked for local hog confinements taking care of the hogs. Brent enjoyed being outside hunting or fishing and enjoyed being with his dog.

He is survived by his fiance, Candi Fisher of Eyota, MN, Children: Alyssa Wiest and Jadyn Wiest of Brandon, Iowa, Brennen Wiest of Eyota, MN, and a baby on the way; his father Elliott Wiest of Waterloo, mother; Kaye Bumgarner of Independence, IA, a brother, Chad Wiest of Oelwein, two sisters, Kari Dilley of Independence, IA and Krystle Wiest of Brandon, IA and his grandparents Everette and Geraldine Lange of LaPorte City, Iowa.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Reiff Funeral Home and Crematory in Independence is handling the arrangements.
