Know all men by these presents that we William Fairburn, Jr. and Kate R. Fairburn, his wife of
Bremer county, state of Iowa - in consideration of the sum of five hundred and fifty (550.00) dollars in hand paid by John M. Peebles, of said county state of Iowa, do hereby sell and convey unto the said John M. Pebbles the following described premises to wit.
Commencing at the Quarter post between Sec. thirty-five (35) and thirty-six (36) in Twp. 91 -N of Range 14 W, thence west to land known as the Donneley lot, thence S on the E line of Chestnut Street of the village of Janesville, in the county of Bremer and state of Iowa thence S to the lands now owned by John Pitcher, thence E along the line of said Pitcher land to the East line of Sec. 35 thence N on said line to place of beginning and we do hereby covenant with said Peebles that we are lawfully seized of said premises - that they are free from incumberance, that we have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same. And the said Kate R. Fairburn hereby relinquishes her right of Dower to the premises hereinbefore conveyed and I do hereby covenant to Warrant and Defend the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
