Thraps Celebrated 30th Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thrap celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Sunday at their home in the Garden Prairie community. The day also marked the annual reunion of the Godfrey clan. At the noon time dinner was served to the relatives and their families. A color note of pink and green was used in the decorations and garden flowers formed the bouquets. In the center of the table was a large basket of shasta daisies and asters given to Mr. and Mrs. Thrap by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Harleen.
In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Thrap held open house from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Ice cream and cake were served to the visitors. The guests presented the honored guests with a number of nice gifts, and congratulations were offered the couple.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Logeman and family of Manly, Iowa; Mrs. Ed. Godfrey, Madrid; Mr. and Mrs. Will Godfrey and family, Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Pixley and children, Northwood, Iowa; Mrs. J. R. Stover and daughter of Forest City; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Arbuckle, Forest City; Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Hove and son, Scarville, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Chad Godfrey and daughter, Lamars, and Mr. and Miss Gilbertson of Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Woolhelton and family, Maxwell; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thrap and daughters, Ames; Mr. and Mrs. LuVerne Low and sons, Boone; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Morning and Mrs. Barbara Thrap, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Swain and children, all of Madrid.
Afternoon callers were:

Hunt, Boone; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Johnson and daughter, Mrs. Virgil Penquite, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Harleen, Mrs. Rena Godfrey and Edna, Rev. and Mrs. Todd, Mrs. John Barnevelt, Mrs. Rebecca Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Carlson and Vivian, Mrs. Allie Stanton, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Hinman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Seestrom and daughters of Ames.
