Biography

A. Berniece Moore, 101, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Manorcare Health Services of natural causes.

She was born December 26, 1916 in Buchanan County near Hazelton, the daughter of Fred and Velma Bodecker Cox. She married Harold E. Moore on August 24, 1935 in New Hampton; he preceded her in death on February 16, 1986.

Berniece worked in the sliced bacon department at Rath Packing Co. for 28 years, retiring in 1974.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Moeller of Waterloo, Betty (Jon) Christensen of Urbandale; six grandchildren: Diane (Carlos) Urzagaste of Waterloo, Denise (Tom) Berns of Waterloo, Dana Moeller of Waterloo, Dennis Moeller of Cedar Falls, Debra (Brad) Renner of New Hartford, Barry (Amber) Christensen of Crestwood, Kentucky; twelve great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Harold Cox and one sister, Iona DeWitt.

Services
Services will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Central Christian Church.
