Biography--

Ted L. Niedert, 64, of Denver, Iowa, and formerly of New Hartford, Iowa, and Boston, Massachusetts, died at Regional Medical Center in Manchester on Monday, February 19, 2018 of natural causes.

He was born on March 19, 1953, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Fred O. and Leona McBride Niedert. Ted served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy during Vietnam.

Ted married Marjorie Vaughn in 1972 in Waterloo and later divorced; He married Dorothy Eldridge in 1979 in Saugus, MA and later divorced.

He attended Waterloo East High School. He worked as an executive chef at the Hilton Hotel in Boston, Mass. He retired in 1991.

Ted was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Martin Lodge 624, Masonic Lodge No. 105, and the AmVets.

Survived by his son, Ron (Michelle) Niedert of Fort Sill, OK; daughter, Terri (Sean) Harn of Denver, IA; three step-daughters, Debbie (David) Whitehead of Port Huron, MI, Jean (Bill) Nicole of Saugus, MA, and Rebecca Ciampa of Saugus, MA; three step-sons, Frank Ciampa of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Ciampa of Saugus, MA, and Anthony Ciampa of Saugus, MA; three grandsons, Trenton Niedert, Brandon Niedert, and Shea Harn; nine step-grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Sydney) Niedert of Waterloo and a sister-in-law, Pam Niedert of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ed Niedert and Lonnie Niedert; and a sister, Diana Niedert.
