Jerry Lee Wohlert

July 19, 1942 - February 13, 2018

Jerry Lee Wohlert, 75, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 13 at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, in waterloo, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease.

He was born July 19, 1942, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Harold and Helen Cox Wohlert. He married Sheryl Mosley in 1965 in Waterloo and they were later divorced.

Jerry was employed with John Deere for 32 years, retiring in 1999. He was in the Iowa Army National Guard.

Survivors include his significant other, Lynn Boland of Waterloo; a son, Justin (Samantha) Wohlert of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Danette (Joe) Priebe and Kendra (Eric Giddens) Wohlert both of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons and a sister, Sue (Larry) Gentle of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Alyn and Raymond.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.

Jerry enjoyed life with friends & family, traveling, hunting, boating, campfires and tequila.
