Obituary for Merle D. Bell

Merle D. Bell 63, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 16, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital. He was born June 20, 1954 in Waterloo the son of Merle T. and Mildred Gee Bell. He married Christine Pyle April 2007, in Waterloo.

Merle was employed with John Deere for 30 years as a dyno operator and he retired in 2007. He was a member of the local UAW and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Merle is survived by his wife Chris and her children: Luke Pint, Jerry Pint, and Sarah Hulse; his parents; and a brother, Warren Bell.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Janese Bell

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 23 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup
Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will occur at a later date.
