Biography--

Robert "Bob" Fraune, 88, of Waterloo, IA, formerly of Ft. Madison, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home Thursday, December 28, 2017.

He was born April 19, 1929 in Ft. Madison, the son of Henry and Emma Wiggenjost Fraune.

He married Rosemary J. Schmidt August 28, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ft. Madison.

Bob graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1947; he graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1956.

He was an accountant (Cost Control) at John Deere retiring in 1984. Bob loved traveling throughout the USA with his wife and children. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing and he and Rose spent 20 years at their summer lake home in Minnesota.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife; son: Bob (Sandy) Fraune, Waukesha, WI; son: Mark (Crystal Meyer) Fraune, Waterloo, IA; son: Larry Fraune, Plymouth, MN; daughter: Mary (Jim) Fraune, Minocqua, WI; daughter: Patty Dennis, Waterloo, IA; daughter: Barbara Jenkins; 5 grandchildren: Marlena and Brandon Fraune, Fernando and MiKayla Fraune, and Johnny Kohls; and a sister: Helen Loving, West Point, IA.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David; a grandson, Billy Kohls; six sisters: Alice Fedler, Ruth Krogmeier, Viola Menke, Arline Walljasper, Louise Menke, and Joan Fraune; and by two brothers, James and Paul.

There is a delay to the funeral due to the holidays and the weather. After the services in Waterloo, Bob will have services at the King Lynk Funeral Home in Ft. Madison. Service information will be available at www.kinglynk.com when they are finalized.
