William "Bill" Whitlatch

February 5, 1954 - November 15, 2017

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – William “Bill” Guy Whitlatch, 63, of Tomah, Wisconsin, and formerly of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at home.

He was born February 5, 1954, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Robert and Blanche (Hollenbeck) Whitlatch. He married Patricia A. Panther in 1987 and they later divorced.

William graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1972 and served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He worked at the University of Northern Iowa from 1977 to 1997.

Survived by: a daughter, Kelly Panther (Joel) of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Barry (Sue) and Charlie (Renee) both of Cedar Falls; a sister, Bonnie (Brad) Stark of Cedar Falls; two nieces; four nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

A family directed celebration of life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4 at the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Military honors will be conducted by the AMVETS Post 49 Honor Guard at 4:30 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the family for designation at a later date.
