CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Isabel Jane Zilmer, 94, of Oklahoma, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, October 31.

She was born February 7, 1923, in St. Louis, daughter of Ralph and Isabel Bain Bloss. She married Warren Zilmer on September 15, 1942, in Bethany, Mo. He preceded her in death.

Isabel graduated from high school in Cedar Falls. She worked in retail sales for J.C. Penney’s for 35 years and later worked for Stage for eight years.

Isabel is survived by two sons, Don (Carol) of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Tom (Rita) of Waterloo; grandchildren: Bill and Kelly, Dan and Bronwen, Mike and Ashley, Steven and Amy, and Doug and Ashley; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services: took place Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Okla. Hayhurst Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, assisted the family.

Isabel was a wonderful wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She adored her family and loved spending time with them.
