Sally Juanita Graves was born November 9, 1940, daughter of Karle and Ruby (Poole) Keen. She was raised in Missouri and married Delbert Graves in 1957. The couple moved to Waterloo in 1958 so Delbert could begin his career with John Deere. Sally and Delbert suffered the loss of two babies, then adopted Kenneth before having three biological children.

In addition to a very busy and full home life, Sally worked for Takin Brothers (Mayflower) Movers as a packer for 14 years. In 1999, Delbert passed away. Sally began having health issues that limited her ability to work and socialize. However, she was all about her children and grandchildren. Sally loved country music, especially Loretta Lynn and Vince Gill. She also enjoyed Yahtzee and BINGO with her friends and family. When her health allowed, she loved to go to garage sales on Saturday mornings.

Sally passed away at Unity Point Health-Allen Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 30, 2017, at the age of 76 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert; two babies: Terry and Brian; and eight siblings: Cindy, Phyllis, kay, Evelyn, Nancy, Vera, Harve, and Marvin.

Sally is survived by her sons, Kurt (Ashleah) Graves of Janesville and Kenneth Graves of Guttenburg; two daughters, Kerrie Henderson of Apple Valley, MN and Karla (Kelly Gibbs) Dobbs of Bancroft, NE; two brothers, Karl David Keen of Grants Pass, OR and Don Keen of Missouri; one sister, Joanne Sampson of California; 11 grandchildren: Brandon, Dalton, James, Hunter, Brent, Lacey, Dean, Isabella, Carly, Addylan and Karver; and one great-granddaughter, Scarlet.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
