Improvements – Mr. Peter’s new store presents a fine appearance and does credit to the proprietor. The finish of the store room surpasses by far any in town, and will soon be occupied by W. F. Pickerill, as a grocery and variety store. Uncle Matthias Woodley’s new dwelling house is near completed, and presents a neat appearance. – Mammoth corn cribs going up in different parts of town, wonder if the people have a Joseph instructing them to store up provisions for years to come, as in Egypt. Well this is a good place as could be found for the gathering process but rather poor on the famine. – Peter Felton intends to have things handy, as least so his new house indicates. – The suburbs of the New Jerusalem part of town, has a number of new houses, in course of erection. Wonder if that is where the Gentile quarters are situated.
