Benton County -- Charles Hampton, arrested on a charge of contempt of court on information of his divorced wife, Zola Hampton, was sentenced to 90 days in the county jail. The sentence was suspended on the condition that Hampton pay $150.00 to apply on back alimony and costs. The Hamptons were divorced May 3, 1945, and Mrs. Hampton was granted $60.00 per month alimony. No alimony was paid by Mr. Hampton. The alimony payments are now over $800.00 in arrears.
