Christian H. Hansen, a former resident
of this county and a brother of

Hamlin bank, died at a hospital in
Denver, Colorado, Saturday morning,
after an illness of about ten
days.

Mr. Hansen was born at Als, Denmark,
on February 3, 1872. When
about one year old his parents immigrated
to the United States and located
at Davenport. He spent his
early boyhood there, his parents
moving to Audubon county in 1883.

He was united in marriage to
Louise Hansen in 1900, and his good
wife preceded him in death four
years ago. They resided on a farm
west of Exira until about ten years
ago when they moved to Denver to
make their home.

He was confirmed in the Lutheran
faith at Elk Horn in the year 1888.

Surviving are five children, Harry,
Jens and Elmer Hansen and Mrs.
Keith Burnett, all of Denver, Colorado,
and Mrs. W. R. Leigan of
Brayton. One brother, Hans Hansen
Sr. of Exira, also survives.

Funeral services were held at the
home of Mrs. Leigan near Brayton
and at the St. John's Lutheran
church west of Exira on Wednesday
afternoon conducted by Rev. H.
Plambeck assisted by Rev. H. L.
Jensen. Burial was in St. John's
cemetery, and the Masonic lodge
had charge of this service.
