To whom it may concern,

I’m Anna Donegà from ICA, an Italy based law firm specialized in international law.

I am contacting you on behalf of a client of mine who’s in the process of obtaining the records needed to apply for Italian citizenship by descent. He is trying to locate his grandparents’ baptismal/birth and marriage certificates. Please read following the information we have about this couple:

John Anthony Guglielmetti was born on June 5th, 1915 in Diamond, Appanoose county (IA).

Merle Efaw was born on September 15th, 1918 in Centerville, Appanoose county (IA).

From the vital records we gathered, we know that both Guglielmetti and Efaw’s families spent part of their lives in Appanoose County, where Enrico (Reco) Guglielmetti’s death record (who is John Anthony’s father) and also Elisa Sacco’s second marriage certificate (John’s mother) were found.

From the data we have we suppose that the marriage between John Anthony and Merle has been celebrated in Centerville in January 1937 as all their three children were born in Centerville:

James Philip, on 1938;

Saundra/Sondra/Soundra, on 1940;

John Jr, on 1942.
In fact, another possible year for the marriage could be 1953. We found an index also for that year.

In order to help our client, we need John Anthony Guglielmetti and Merle Efaw's marriage certificate and both their birth/baptismal records but despite our months of research, we have not been able to find it.
Hence, we thought to contact you and ask you whether you may have or find some information about these people/any tip to share on how to proceed with this research.

I remain at your disposal for any further information and look forward to reading your reply.
Best regards,
