Death of Mrs. Belle Bissett

Thursday evening, March 16, came the close of a long life yet her hold on life seems strange to one who would drop Inn for a few minutes. She was always glad to welcome those friends, as she was a shut in never leaving her home. After the death of her daughter, Mrs. Drake, she felt so alone, then her son, William Bissett , came and remained with her until the end. Mrs. Bissett had passed the 90 year mark and as she was a neighbor of mine for a time in Centerville, I was glad to renew the friendship here in our new home. She always loved Centerville and always wanted to return, said she had so much there to love. They laid her in Evergreen Cemetery beside her daughter and a brother.

She leaves to mourn her passing a son, William Bissett, Francis Drake, of Pasadena, Burt Fenton of Centerville, grandsons; Mrs.Clapsaddle, a sister and a niece. Mrs. Nelly Shirley came in from Redlands to attend the funeral of Mrs. Bissett.
