Clarence Jack

Clarence Jack, 82, both 823 South Park Ave., Centerville was pronounced dead on arrival at the St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital at about 10:40 AM, saturday, January 16, 1982 after becoming ill well out for his morning walk.

He was born May 8, 1899 near Waukoma, Iowa and was the son of Levi Miller and Allie Chamberlain Jack. He was married to Flossie Strandberg on July 4, 1968 in Des Moines and she survives. He was a member of the Federated Church in Waucoma. He was a pass to worshipful master in the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree mason.

Survivors besides his wife Flossie include three stepdaughters, Zanna Lee Calman, Los Angeles, California; Janan Anderson, Des Moines and Linda Kay Wood, Colorado, and one sister, Ethyl Jack, Waucoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.

He had requested that his body be donated to the State University Hospital in Iowa city for medical research purposes. Details of the memorial service will be announced later on the Johnson funeral home. A memorial has been established to the 1880 club.
