Obituary From “The Ottumwa Courier,” April 24, 1989:

Charity Ann Lang, 95, of 1217 E. Plum died April 22, 1989, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center, 1001 E. Pennsylvania.

She as born Dec. 26, 1893, in Putnam County, Mo. to John and Anna Bell Johnson Campbell. She was a resident of Ottumwa since 1943. She married Carl E. Stansberry on Jan. 3, 1911; he died May 26, 1942.

She is survived by two sons, Robert and Lloyd Stansberry of Ottumwa; a stepson, Eugene Stansberry of Moulton; two daughters, Mary Edgington of Ottumwa and Arzella “Betty” Wilke of Monona; 28 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and a sister, Florence Collier of Lakewood, Colo. She was preceded in death by two sons, Cleo and Sperry Stansberry and a stepson, Gerald Stansberry.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. George King of Evangelistic Foursquare Church officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Cemetery near Moulton.

Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be Roger, Steven and Kevin Edgington, Carl and Robert Stansberry and Max Carr.
