The death of Mrs. Edward Collins occurred Wednesday, Nov. 3, at St. Francis hospital, LaCrosse, Following a two days illness, the result of a paralytic stroke. As Anna Laura Quillin, she was born Oct. 25, 1875 in Hanover township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Quillin.

In June, 1896, she married to Edward Collins, establishing their home in New Albin.

She is survived by six sons, Francis, Mantorville, Minn.; Leo, Owatonna, Minn.; John, Blooming Prairie, Minn.; Cletus, Kasson, Minn.; Philip, Pine Island, Minn., and Michael, Rochester, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Celia Plien, Farley, Iowa; Mrs. Nellie Hancock, Lansing; Mrs. Rose Sweeney, Waukon, and four brothers, Tom Joe Quillin, of Browsville; Dr. W. H. Quillin of Dubuque, and Edward of Waukon, also seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Joseph's church with the Rev. A. J. Quillin of Adrian, Minn., a nephew of the deceased officiating. Burial was made in Gethsemane cemetery at Lansing.

Pallbearers were M. E. Donovan, J. J. Higgins, Peter Hosch, John Mendenhall, E. H. Middendorf and A. B. Ferguson.

Out of town relatives including her children, sisters and brothers who attended the funeral were Vincent Hancock, Calmar, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. James Burke, Mr. and Mrs. V. Schulte, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Liddard, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sweeney, Mr. and Mrs. William Hancock, Leo and Albert Liddard, Waukon,; Donald Quillin, Hokah, Misses Rosemary Quillin and Mary Plien and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Quillin of LaCrosse and Mrs. Philip Quillin of Waukon.
