The largely attended funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the residence to the Methodist Episcopal church at 2 o'clock, of which the deceased was a faithful member, Rev. Walter Pieper officiated and burial was made in the New Albin cemetery.

The casket bearers were Geo. Kumpf, Nicholas Fink, R.G. May, H.J. Reiser Henry Wuennecke and Andrew Sandry.
