Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Michael Barthell, 57, will be held Friday, according to arrangements completed Thursday. Her death occurred at her home here Tuesday evening on the eve of her 58th birthday following a several weeks' illness.

As Jessie Stilwell, she was born here on Dec. 21, 1880, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Stilwell, early pioneer settlers of this vicinity.

In 1910 she was married to Michael Barthell of Waukon, who survives with two children: Mrs. George Nierling and Michael, both of Waukon; two adopted daughters, Dadra Barthell at home and Mrs. James Ryan of Jewell; a sister, Minnie Stilwell of Waukon; and three brothers, Cory Stilwell of Waukon, Lewis of Tucson, Ariz., and Charles of Maryville, Mo.
