Rossville, Ia., March 7 - Mrs. Eugenia Belle Skinner, 71, passed away Monday morning at Rossville, Ia. in her seventy-first year.
She was the oldest of ten children of David and Elizabeth Biggs, deceased, and was born Aug. 15, 1857, at Volney, Allamakee county, Ia., and had always resided in this vicinity.
She taught school before her marriage to Dr. H.S. Skinner, a practicing physician of Rossville, in 1881, who died in 1884.
Mrs. Skinner was a member of the Methodist church. She is survived by three brothers and four sisters; Thomas S. Biggs, Bakersfield, Cal.; Wm. D. Biggs, Monona, Ia.; Clarence Biggs, Bismark, N.D.; Mrs. Nannie Canfield, Mrs. Eula Deemer and Mrs. Carrie Pufhal of Rossville.
The funeral services were held at the Rossville Presbyterian church Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Maple Hill cemetery, Rev. R.L. Van Nice officiating.
