William McMillan, 77, a resident of Allamakee county for a number of years, died Monday at Mercy hospital in Dubuque.

He was born at Mineral Point, Wis., March 16, 1857. After his marriage he lived in Waukon for sometime. The past several years he made his home in St. Louis and since returning had lived with his sister here Mrs. Frances McKinney.

A son, Glen McMillan of Waukon and a daughter, Mrs. Corren [sic] Toff [sic- should be Hoff] of Fargo, N. D. are the survivors. Another sister, Mrs. W. B. Forker lives at Santa Monica, Calif., and a brother David McMillin [sic] lives in Franklin township, Allamakee county.
