CECIL LARRY FUDGE, 40
Cecil Larry Fudge, son of Cecil Charles Fudge and Glenna Irene Schaffer was born August 7, 1946 in Villisca, Iowa and died April 26, 1987 at Myrtle Hospital at Harlan, at age 40 years, 8 months, and 19 days. He attended school in Adams County.
On October 9, 1965 he married Janet Kay Jensen at the United Methodist Church at Corning. Two daughters were born to this union. He worked for the ford Company all of his life, beginning with Richard Updike Fork Tractor; then with Stan Brokaw Ford, and was presently employed at Bud Ekdahl Ford Garage at Corning. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities including fishing, hunting, card games, gardening, and was always working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Kay of Corning; his two daughters, Karen Kinser of St. Joseph, Missouri; and Angela Marie, still at home. his mother, Glenna (Mrs. Harold) Holdren of Harlan; his grandmother, Laura Fudge of Brooks; three sisters, Donna (Mrs. Vernon) Else of Earling; Kings (Mrs. Randy) Mahlberg of Kiron, and Nancy Kovell of Harlan; severn aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were April 29, 1987 at the United Methodist Church in Corning with Rev. John Caldwell of the United Methodist Church and Fr. Fred Reischl of St. Patrick Catholic Church, officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Corning, with honorary bearers being, Roger Schaffer, Tom Else, Jay Carr, LaVerne (Bud) Schaffer, Clyde McHenry, and Paul Olson and serving as casket bearers were John Green, Larry Carr, Jerry Carr, Michael Kempton, Marlyn Gray, and Earl Sunburn. Coen-Beaty Home in Creston were in charge of arrangements.
