Margaret Anderson Yeager, the daughter of John and Helen Farrier Heatherington, was born in Chicago, Illinois, March 9, 1873 and after more than four years of patient suffering, departed this life, April 26, 1952, at her home in Prescott, Iowa at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 7 days.
When a small girl she moved with her parents to Adams County, Iowa. She was united in marriage with Thomas Edgar Yeager, November 30, 1893, at Prescott. To this union were born one daughter and two sons.
Mrs. Yeager is survived by her faithful husband, one daughter, Lena Garbe and one son, Cecil Yeager, both of Marshalltown, Iowa. one brother, Alex Heatherington of Villisca; five granddaughters, one grandson; six great grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lloyd C. Yeager, her parents, four brothers, and one sister.
She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and was a loving wife and mother and a kind neighbor. Mrs. Yeager will be greatly missed by all her loved ones and friends.
Funeral services were held from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning, Friday afternoon, April 18, 1952, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Henry, pastor of the Prescott Methodist Church. Interment was in the Prairie Rose Cemetery.
Music was by Mrs. Frank Carr and Mrs. Albert Givan accompanied by Mrs. Fred Moon. Pall bearers were Ernest Green, Frank Woods, Ray Lawrence, F. A. Williams, Selby Williams, ad Frank Carr.
