NOTES:

This information has been provided to the IAGenWeb Black Hawk County site by Jan and Gary Dunham.

Bessie Dunham was the child of Alfred G. and Fannie 'Healas' Dunham. She was born Mar. 24, 1888 in Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., Iowa and may have married Frankey Arthur Ford Aug. 10, 1904 in Black Hawk Co., Iowa and had one child. OR ... she may have had a child by someone named Blomcki ... and ??? married

Frankey A. Ford? We have that she was listed with her Dunham family in the 1900 census ... then she died abt 1906. This lady is a mystery in our family. And we'd like to have it cleared up.

The Mae Schifferdaker (we believe) was a sister to Adam Schifferdaker. Adam married Mary E. Higgins - who's twin sister (Mercy Higgins) married Bessie Dunham's brother, Fredrick W. Dunham. We do not know who Adam and Mae Schifferdaker's parents were.

We are in the process of trying to tie together several different DUNHAM families who were living in the Waterloo, Iowa area all about the same time. Some came to Iowa thru Canada - and some from Illinois/New York area. If we can tie these families together (definitely) then we may be able to get beyond Alfred G. Dunham's father Luther W. Dunham. As it is, we are at that horrible "brick wall".

The allied family names are: HIGGINS; HEALAS; SHREVE; ZIMMERMAN; CARPENTER; REPOGLE; McMILLAN; PAINE; FORD; BLOMCKI; CLARK; MESSINGER; BARNES
