LAMB

I have been researching my paternal families of
Black Hawk County for twenty-five years.

I have large files on each of these families and will
be glad to share what I have found.

Two sons of ELIJAH BUTTERFIELD of Jefferson County New York, settled in Black Hawk County: NATHANIEL and ELIJAH STEWART BUTTERFIELD.

I descend through Nathaniel's family but have gathered descendants of Elijah's family as well. I have many photographs and documents of Nathaniel's descendants.

NATHANIEL BUTTERFIELD married ISABELLA JANE BRYARLY and they had ten children, three of whom lived to adulthood and have descendants.

NATHANIEL BUTTERFIELD'S son HENRY NATHANIEL BUTTERFIELD married NAOMI MILLER BEAL.

The BEAL and MILLER families were of Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

JESSE LICHTY BEAL married CAROLINE MILLER and they had ten children, eight lived to adulthood and seven have descendants.

Caroline's parents WILLIAM MILLER and MARY "ANNA MARIA" WALKER of Somerset County, Pennsylvania had thirteen children, six are known to have been in Black Hawk County.
HENRY NATHANIEL BUTTERFIELD'S son GLADE HENRY BUTTERFIELD married GEAN LAMB HOSTETER.

Gean was the daughter of ELMER LINCOLN HOSTETER and FRANCES ROSETTA LAMB.
Elmer's father ABRAHAM B. HOSTETLER married RACHAEL E. RANKIN and they had thirteen children. I have descendants listed from all of them.

Abraham's father ADAM HOCHSTETLER married EVE BLUBAUGH and I've researched both of these families back into Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

HOSEA LAMB'S son WILLIAM FITCH LAMB was the father of FRANCES ROSETTA LAMB. HOSEA LAMB married 1st to MARYJANE DEARBORNE and I have descendants of all three of their sons in Black Hawk County.

He married 2nd to EUNICE JUDITH DREW and they had five children, three of whom I have descendants.

The LAMB (E) family came from MA to CT migrating into Ontario, Canada and finally to Black Hawk County.I will be glad to share photographs, documentation, and data that I have gathered on these families with
anyone interested.
