Discovered at a Dallas/Fort Worth area, Texas garage sale, these photos say they were taken in Waterloo, Iowa by the Hansen Studio. The military photo looks like it's from WWII. The portrait looks to be the 1920s. Owner would like to see these go to a family member.

"House in Winslow" is suspected to be the home of Maggie (Lance) Algyre in Winslow, Iowa. However, this has not been proven as the house no longer exists I am sure. It is a postcard that reads, "To Twilla and Jeanette Dunakey" on the back in pencil. I am related to Twilla and Jeanette who are now deceased through the Lance family. The Lance family also spelled the surname Lanz or Lantz. Maggie was the daughter of John B. Lantz who passed away about 1902 and was a stone mason who built the Boulder Church in Waterloo. Maggie was married to John Algyre, but her first daughter, Anna, was born out of wedlock to a John Eberhart we believe. This is an unknown family who lived in or near Blackhawk County, Iowa. Could be of Algyre or Lance relation.

Photo of the man and child is also from Blackhawk County, Iowa. The man is suspected to be John Algyre, Maggie Lance's husband, but this assumption was never proven.
