Kathryn Kimm Rieke
Kathryn Kimm Rieke, born March 5, 1914 in Anamosa, Iowa, passed away March 23, 2004, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert R. Rieke, and her parents, Rudolph David Kimm and Bessie Steffa Kimm. Kay grew up in Blairstown, Benton Co. IA., later graduating from the Univ of Iowa with a degree in nursing and a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She married her high school sweetheart in 1936, and in 1939, they moved to Texas with Schlumberger Well Services Corp. Kay is survived by her devoted sister, Charlotte Kimm, and children, Marian Naber and her husband, Ken; Robert Rieke and wife, Mary Nell, and Mark Rieke and wife, Susan. Other survivors include 7 grandchildren: Kimm Shafer and husband, Eric; Michael Naber and wife Louisa; Robert Rieke and wife Melissa, Courtney Poglitsch and husband John; Leslie Jackson and husband Jack; Brian Rieke and wife Lacy; and Laura Rieke; 4 great grandchildren; Kathyn Shafer, Katherine and Thomas Jackson, and Mary Lacy Rieke.
