Funeral services for Elfie M. Gibney, 89, of Watkins, were Thursday, Feb. 18, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Watkins. She died Feb. 16, 1993, at Keystone

The Rev. Richard Ament officiated. Burial was in St. Pat's and St. Paul's Cemetery, Watkins. Pallbearers were Steve Zaugg, Jody Junge, Allan Benson, Joshua Junge, Kenneth Gibney, Robert Williams, Raymond Trimble and Thomas Gibney, Jr

Elfie M. Gibney was born Sept. 26, 1903, at Watkins. She was the daughter of Charles and Katie (Spellerberg) Schmidt. She married Thomas Gibney Sept. 2, 1924, at Watkins. He died May 10, 1981. She was a life- long member of St. Patrick's parish and an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Arthur, Clayton, Gilbert, Delbert and Glen Richard

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Thomas Gibney, Toledo, Ohio, Edward Gibney, Watkins; one daughter, Rosemary Trimble of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren

Brosh's of Norway, was in charge of arrangements, and David Hrabak of Pelle Plaine, was the funeral director.
