GEORGE E. STICKNEY, younger son of William W. Stickney, was born in this county October 26, 1871. After graduating from Tilford Academy in June, 1894, he spent two or three years in the mercantile business at Vinton, and has since been associated with his brother and father in their large farming and stock-raising enterprises. He is a member of the Knights of Pythias at Vinton, and politically is Republican.

He married Miss Carrie E. Smith, who formerly resided in Kankakee, Illinois. They have two children: Clarence W., aged six, and Helen Louise, aged two.
