Kimballton Band

This photo is from the collection of Carl and Christine (Anderson) Petersen. Christine's father, Andrew Hansen Anderson, played tuba in the Kimballton band. A. H. Anderson is seated at the far left in the front row.

The Kimballton Centennial history book, Kimballton, Iowa 1883 - 1983, includes the above photo on Page 58 of Section II, but A. H. Anderson is misidentified in the centennial history book. Standing in the back row according to the history book: Jens Andersen, Fred Christoffersen, Andrew Jensen, Evans Marquesen, Rasmus Larsen, and Peter Mortensen. The history book incorrectly identifies the first person in the front row as Ole Olsen, but it is actually A. H. Anderson. The remainder of the front row as identified in the history book: Unknown, Hans Nordby, John Larsen, Chris Christoffersen, and Peter Bertelsen.
